As a dietitian/nutritionist, in practice for over 26 years, Amy is delighted to be a part of the PreviMedica team of exceptional professionals, dedicated to promoting optimal health through customized nutrition. As the creator and manager of PreviMedica Nutrition Services, Amy oversees the expertise of registered and licensed dietitians/nutritionists, registered dietetic technicians, personal chefs and health experts committed to achieving the best possible outcome for each and every participant.
Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Amy’s interest in nutrition as a career began in college, with the awareness that the most chronic diseases in our country can be prevented with lifestyle. Pieczarka created and directed a leading hospital outpatient nutrition therapy center for 20 years and was in private practice for 11 years. She has provided nutrition therapy to over 5000 patients and has given over 600 presentations to the public.
Amy received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Medical Dietetics from the Pennsylvania State University in 1983, completed the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics accredited internship at St. Luke’s Hospital, Milwaukee Wisconsin in 1984 and has been a registered dietitian since 1985. She has been a certified diabetes educator since 1993. Encouraged by the public’s interest and motivation to prevent disease naturally and motivated by the importance of holistic healing, she successfully completed the coursework and exam required by the International and American Association of Clinical Nutritionists and became a certified clinical nutritionist in 2003.
Amy has counseled people of all ages and specializes in preventive nutrition, diabetes, food sensitivities, weight management, disordered eating, cardiovascular disease, digestive disorders and holistic nutrition.
Her experience in providing medical nutrition therapy and guidance to thousands of individuals of all ages over the years, has allowed her to recognize effective nutritional strategies to utilize when assisting individuals in meeting health goals. In her practice, utilizing the ALCAT test to determine individuals’ specific repertoire of foods, combined with personal nutrition guidance, Pieczarka recognized that this was the most effective approach available. She is thrilled to lead the PreviMedica team to extend this opportunity for optimal nutrition to individuals all over the country.
Amy is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the American Association of Diabetes Educators, and the International and American Association of Clinical Nutritionists as well as the dietetic practice groups, Sports and Cardiovascular Nutritionists, Dietitians in Functional Medicine, Diabetes Care and Education, Vegetarian Nutrition, Nutritionists in Education, and Entrepreneurial Nutritionists.
In Amy’s favorite role, proud mom to two sons, she cherishes her time with her family. Amy enjoys exercise, cooking, baking, watching baseball, basketball, and football, music and enjoying the Florida weather.
Eunice Holmes, Assistant Nutrition Manager, has over 10 years of experience in the field of nutrition and dietetics. After a quick stint as an interior design major, an elective nutrition course revealed her true interest: food! She switched majors and began her career as a dietetic technician (DTR).
In 2012, Eunice received her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences with a concentration in Dietetics from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She has worked as a diet technician, and now a registered dietitian (RD), in various settings including an online meal planning service, a health and wellness mobile application company, and a healthy meal delivery service. Now, as a personal wellness advisor for Previmedica, she enjoys speaking with others about the science of food and how identifying food sensitivities can change lives. Outside of work, she can be found in the kitchen, always experimenting with new recipes and ingredients. She is grateful for those who try her experiments, even when they are not so successful.
Tarah Marsden-Bruno has been with PreviMedica since its inception and was one of the core team members involved in the successful launch of the company. In 2009, Tarah graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biological Science with a minor in chemistry. It was not until after she graduated that she realized her true passion belonged to the field of nutrition. It was with this discovery that she became involved with PreviMedica and is currently working towards becoming a Registered Dietitian.
Prior to working for PreviMedica, Tarah, worked for a state of the art veterinary hospital where she assisted with such procedures as endoscopy, C-sections, reproductive services such as IVF, foreign body obstruction surgery, as well as monitoring anesthesia; however, she most enjoyed working with and advising clients on the needs of their pets.
As a personal wellness advisor for PreviMedica, Tarah enjoys working one to one with people, as well as combining her knowledge of nutrition and science towards making positive lifestyle changes in the lives of those she advises.
In her free time, Tarah enjoys any and all outdoor activities, including kayaking, horseback riding, and rock climbing (even though she lives in Florida!).
Tarah is mom to a mixed breed dog, Emma, whom she rescued 7 years ago. Together they are involved in Therapy Dogs International and are working towards building a children’s reading program in their community.
Megan Huard was born and raised in Boca Raton, Fl and spent most of her childhood following her mom around in fitness facilities. After high school, she decided to take her love of food and turn it into a career. She graduated in 2005 with a degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson & Wales University in Miami. As part of her programs requirement she completed a 3 month long internship at the prestigious Pritikin Longevity Center Resort & Spa. After the internship, the company offered her a position as a head chef, which she accepted and carried out for 2 ½ years. While at Pritikin she got to take her love of cooking and her passion for a healthy lifestyle and share it with others. She taught cooking classes to guests and worked hand and hand with registered dietitians to reshape the way people look at their eating patterns in a healthy way.
Through her time at Pritikin she found her calling for nutrition. She left the world of professional cooking and decided to go back to school. While working on her second degree she worked as a diet clerk at Boca Raton Regional Hospital. She graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics in 2012 and became a Registered Dietitian in 2013.
In her free time she loves going to the beach and spending time boating. She also owns and operates a small photography company.
Megan truly enjoys working with people and sharing their enthusiasm for a healthy lifestyle. She believes that everyone can learn how to make healthy food taste great and that food really can be medicine.
Idequiz Valdes has always had an interest in caring for people and promoting a healthy lifestyle. She started her education at Florida International University (FIU) as an accounting major. As an accounting student, she attained valuable skills in budgeting, organization and financial management. However, while working at a nutritional retail store, she discovered her passion for educating others on the benefits of nourishing the body properly. Idequiz quickly realized that crunching numbers was not for her. Her true passion was in the field of nutrition so she decided to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and Nutrition.
While pursuing her degree, Idequiz was an active board member of the Student Dietetics Association at FIU and helped organize many events in the University and local communities. She volunteered at Miami Children’s Hospital and participated in the Child Life and Dietetics departments. This experience helped her gain skills in creative thinking and team work. She has a passion for children and hopes to become a Board Certified Specialist in Pediatric Nutrition.
Idequiz recently graduated from an acclaimed Dietetics program at FIU and she participated in a 9 month post graduate internship that allowed her to gain experience in all fields of nutrition including clinical, management, long-term care and pediatric nutrition. Idequiz successfully completed the Commission on Dietetics Registration examination and is now a Registered Dietitian.
As a member of the PreviMedica nutrition care team, Idequiz is pleased to be able to utilize the knowledge and experience she has attained to help people across the country achieve a healthy lifestyle. She enjoys sharing current, personalized nutrition strategies to assist individuals with meeting health goals.
Aside from her passion for dietetics, Idequiz enjoys drawing. She often uses her creativity to educate children and adults about nutrition. This skill is very valuable to her and has led to the creation of exceptional projects during her time as a student and volunteer.
Andrea Stamper’s career path started with veterinary medicine. However, her true passion for nutrition came to light with motherhood and the responsibility of nourishing her family. Andrea received her Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics from the University of Florida in 2001. Prior to working for PreviMedica, Andrea worked as a Diet Technician assisting Registered Dietitians at UF Health Shands Hospital. She also worked in the outpatient sector as an Enteral Coordinator for Barnes Healthcare. In this role, Andrea was responsible for coordinating formulas ordered for the implementation of home enteral nutrition as well as monthly follow ups with patients for order updating.
Andrea is a native Floridian of Chilean descent. Andrea’s most important and cherished role is being a proud mom to her 2 young children and she enjoys spending time with her family.
A native of Colombia, Natali Velez moved to the US with her family at the age of 15. Her passion for nutrition began as a sophomore in college, setting the foundation for a nutrition focused, fitness-oriented lifestyle. She broadened her interest in this field by receiving a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and Nutrition in December 2012 from Florida International University. She was accepted into the FIU dietetic internship where she gained experience in all fields of nutrition including clinical, long-term care, eating disorders, dialysis and food service management.
After graduation, Natali worked as a clinical dietitian for Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She continued to help people improve quality of life through education of proper nutrition and lifestyle choices. Natali is happy to be a nutrition advisor for PreviMedica to counsel participants all over the country and share her knowledge and expertise to promote optimal health. Her long-range goal is to become a diabetes educator and a Certified Holistic Dietitian.
In addition, Natali is certified as a Safe Staff, through the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association. She is an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Apart from her interest in nutrition, Natali enjoys exercising, meditating and reading.
Basilia Theofilou’s upbringing in a family of different cultures, with the emphasis on the importance of food, meal times and healthy dining, encouraged her career path in Nutrition and Dietetics.
Basilia received a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics and Nutrition from Florida International University (FIU) in Miami, Fl. During her time at FIU, she became an active member of the Student Dietetic Association and the Miami-Dade Dietetics Association.
Prior to joining the PreviMedica team, Basilia worked as a dietitian assistant at Baptist Health in Miami. In this setting, she shared her knowledge of medical dietetics and increased her interest and expertise in nutrition for the promotion of health and for the prevention of disease. Upon graduating, Basilia obtained a position at Elite Health. As Program Director for Elite Health’s wellness program, Elite Fit Forever, Basilia provided nutrition counseling to patients and helped them follow a healthier lifestyle with proper nutrition and exercise.
Outside of work, Basilia enjoys spending time outdoors; biking, kayaking and taking long walks with her dog.
Jen Quinn’s interest in nutrition started as a teenager when she successfully lost weight by making changes to her own eating patterns. She received her degree in journalism and studied nutritional sciences/dietetics at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.Jen also attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge for one year on a national student exchange program, where she learned how to cook most of her favorite spicy dishes.
Jen has previously worked in nutrition research where she studied the effect various types of sugars have on metabolism. Other related experiences include working as a dietetic aid in a nursing home for five years, many years of service in the restaurant industry, and completing a food service management internship at the University of Florida in Gainesville.
Currently, as a nutrition advisor at PreviMedica, she counsels others on nutrition and healthy eating. With a diagnosis of celiac disease, she follows a gluten free lifestyle. She is also a pescatarian who loves seafood, legumes, vegetables, and fruits.
In her free time, Jen loves going to the beach, kayaking, baking, cooking, travelling and spending time outdoors with friends and family.
JoAnn Elizabeth Lachman received her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nutrition and Food Science from Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts. During college JoAnn began her career as a nutrition enthusiast at Joseph M. Smith Community Health Center and assisted in pioneering a partnership coined Community Farming between Farmers Market leftover produce, and local families in need of food assistance. JoAnn then worked at Women’s, Infants and Children (WIC) in South Boston, Massachusetts and crafted interactive games to help engage children to try new, healthy foods. After working in the community, JoAnn found a new love for research at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) in the Harvard Catalyst Clinical Research Center conducting various metabolic, sleep and nutrition studies. While at BIDMC JoAnn was a Red Sox Medical Champion volunteer and took children with her to work to see what a day working in a hospital was like.
JoAnn moved to Florida in 2013 and continues to be a devotee to Lovelane Therapeutic Riding Program in Lincoln, MA where she volunteered for years as an Equine Assistant preparing horses for disabled riding lessons. JoAnn plans to gain her Masters in Nutrition and become a Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor to continue her love and work with horses and children.
Stefanie Cromwell joins the PreviMedica team after leaving the culinary world as a chef for The Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach and Devonshire at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens. Her knowledge of the culinary arts, recipes, and food combinations is extensive. She has a passion for finding new and exciting ways to make healthy food fun and delicious, not only for herself, but for friends, family, and anyone willing to try new things and learn how to eat right.
Stefanie knows the overall benefits of not only great nutrition, but of physical fitness as well. She enjoys physical training and has participated and placed in fitness competitions over the past few years. She has taken her love of cooking and combined it with her love of nutrition and fitness to help others reach their goals of healthy living. She knows, from personal experience, the benefits of PreviMedica and all that it has to offer.
Stefanie is from Raleigh, North Carolina and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Public Health Education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro; additionally earning her degree in Culinary Arts from Lincoln Culinary Institute. She has been living in South Florida for the past five years. When not working and helping others at PreviMedica, Stefanie loves all things outdoors including horseback riding, running, exercising, kayaking, anything to do with the ocean, and of course, cooking at home for friends and family.
Brett Talenfeld received her Master’s degree in Dietetics and Nutrition and completed her dietetic internship at Florida International University (FIU) in Miami, Florida. Brett received the Dean’s Academy of Excellence Award upon graduation and successfully completed the Commission on Dietetics Registration Exam and is a Registered Dietitian. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Business Administration from the University of Florida, graduated cum laude and was awarded the Anderson Scholar Award of High Distinction in 2006. While working for several years in marketing and advertising, Brett developed a growing interest in health and nutrition, which lead to her decision to return to school in order to pursue her passion.
Brett was born in Hollywood, FL and grew up in Parkland, Florida. Her interests include nutrition, yoga, traveling and reading. She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and Florida Dietetic Association, as well as the dietetic practice groups Dietitians in Integrative and Functional Medicine, Nutrition Entrepreneurs and Sports and Cardiovascular Nutritionists.
Audrey Fleck is a registered and licensed dietitian-nutritionist. She seeks to help her clients connect to their inner beings while transforming their outer selves. She blends training in functional medicine with her certification as a Food and Spirit Practitioner (CFSP) to create individualized nutrition plans tailored toward the whole self (mind, body, and soul).
Audrey has achieved a Masters of Science in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine from the University of Western States, completed her dietetic internship (field training) with NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, and received her undergraduate degree in Nutrition & Dietetics from West Chester University. She has completed work to become a Certified Food and Spirit Practitioner (CFSP) and continues to broaden her knowledge in the field of mind-body medicine and nutrition. She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics practice group, Dietitians in Integrative and Functional Medicine (DIFM).
Prior to working for Previmedica, Audrey has gained experience working with people of all ages in a variety of settings such as in state early intervention programs (infants to toddlers), a skilled nursing facility, HIV/AIDs clinic, and in outpatient nutrition counseling for a community hospital.
Audrey believes that our health is the product of what we feed our minds and bodies and that how we look and feel is dependent upon the kind of food we eat, the activity we do, and our management of perceived stress. She tries to help her clients set realistic and achievable health goals. She understands that sometimes living and eating healthy can be a challenge in our current fast paced world, but with the right education, tools, and perseverance anyone can be successful!
Bethany has been working in the nutrition field for over 18 years. She learned about nutrition and wellness as a child; the importance of cooking with whole foods from her role models, her mother and father who followed a healthful lifestyle incorporating Mediterranean cooking. Her grandfather’s long lasting childhood nutrient deficiencies and her personal childhood experience with obesity, encouraged her to follow her passion of nutrition, wellness and prevention. Bethany received her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from the University of Florida in 1995 and attended Pasco County Florida Dietetic Accredited Internship. Bethany became a registered dietitian in 1998. She has worked for the State of Florida, Galaxy Nutritional Foods and Nutritious Lifestyles. Her passion for improving “quality of life” brought her to Colorado in 2007 where she worked as a clinical nutrition manager for HCA Rose Medical Center. Bethany received her Masters in Business Administration with a specialty in Health Care Management in 2011 from the University of Phoenix.
Along with providing nutrition counseling and education for Previmedica participants, Bethany works with Modmarket and an Obesity Medicine Specialist. She has experience providing medical nutrition therapy to people of all ages with varied “dis-eases”. She has been an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics through her career and has held multiple leadership positions including Colorado Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics President and Public Policy Coordinator. She is a member of the Colorado Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Practice Group: Weight Management. She has advanced certificates in weight management for child, adolescents and adults and is working on advanced education in functional and lifestyle medicine. Bethany enjoys meditating, participating in running events, finding the best price for the healthiest food, cooking up a storm, advocating for nutrition and wellness, guiding others on their wellness journey, and spending quality time with family and friends especially her 9 year old son.
Esther received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Florida International University (FIU). She also has a background in psychology and public health. She completed her Dietetic Internship at Memorial Regional Hospital South. While working there, she was confronted with challenges that required confidence, leadership, and management skills. This experience gave her the opportunity to offer new ideas, develop problem solving strategies, and increase her leadership skills while motivating others.
From the beginning of her undergraduate career at FIU, Esther has been involved in both, on campus clubs, as well as the community. During her volunteer work she began to observe, understand, and implement various skills learned at school and further developed these experiences. Working with young children gave her the opportunity to share her learnings and convey how healthy eating is directly connected to mood, energy level, health, and well-being.
More than just a profession, Esther's passion and dedication for nutrition is fueled by the thought that every human needs food for survival. She believes prevention is key to healthy living. She looks forward to challenges and is excited to learn and apply her knowledge here at PreviMedica.
Esther enjoys cooking and baking; she has mastered the art of fondant cakes and has begun to experiment with gluten and dairy free recipes.
Renee’s first interest led her to study fashion at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and 2 more years in Milan, Italy. Renee was born in the US but she has lived in Italy, Kenya, and Ecuador, which has given her a better appreciation and understanding of food and eating customs from around the world. On her second round in college, Renee received her Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics at the University of Florida.
Renee has been working in the nutrition and wellness field for 14 years. Initially, at age 17, her first love was fitness, as she began teaching aerobics out of her own home. Today, Renee has 20 years combined experience and certification as a fitness instructor and personal trainer. Her experience in the nutrition and fitness field ranges from one-on-one consulting, international fitness conference presentations, corporate lecturing, and group education. However, her true love is educating families and children, which is why she enjoys her role as nutrition advisor with PreviMedica. Aside from spending time with her husband and teenage daughter, Renee enjoys cooking, entertaining, teaching, weight lifting, running, and of course, because of the Latin blood in her veins, dancing. Her very own quote is:

Nancy Cohen is a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist with a 32 year career in educating the public on a variety of nutrition topics. Nancy has been in private practice in NJ and Colorado for over 28 years.
In addition to individual counseling Nancy has worked with major corporations and their employees on a variety of nutrition topics. You may have seen Nancy’s television cooking show, “Food For Thought” on the NJ Cablevision Channels.
Prior to working in private practice, Nancy worked in several major medical centers working with adults and pediatric patients. Her travels brought her from Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, NJ to Hackensack Medical Center, Hackensack, NJ to JFK Medical Center in Lake Worth, Florida. Nancy is proud to bring the message of good nutrition and healthy living home.
As a wellness nutritionist, Nancy works with kids and adults in all areas of their lives. She brings a positive and easy approach to nutrition and fitness for adults young and old. One of her special abilities is working with teens.
Nancy is the original creator of “Weigh To a Thinner You” at Pascack Valley Hospital, A 12 week weight control program and “The Positive Image” Pediatric Weight Control Program also offered at PVH from 1990- 2006. She has taught hundreds of people how to balance eating with fitness and an active lifestyle.
Nancy is a graduate of the University of Florida, Gainesville with a B.H.S. in Clinical and Community Dietetics 1982. She has additionally received her certification in Adult Weight Management and Obesity Training from the American Dietetic Association. Nancy was the recipient of the “Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year” Award in 1993.
Nancy has joined the PreviMedica Team with great pleasure. She thoroughly enjoys working with children and their families to assist them with their food sensitivities and offering them every opportunity to be the best that they can be.
Pamela Fitzgerald's interest in health and wellness began in the early '90s when her father introduced her to Chinese herbal medicine. After noticing significant benefits in her overall health, Pam later explored the implications of food choices on her well-being. With guidance from a nutritionist in San Monica, CA in 1996, Pam discovered macrobiotics and detoxification using organic, whole foods. The experience had such a profound impact on her that, eventually, she decided to pursue nutrition as a career.
Pam received her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Colorado State University. In 2007, Pam graduated from Bastyr University with a Master of Science degree in Nutrition. Shortly after graduation, Pam attended Texas State University's dietetic internship, and soon received her credential as a Registered Dietitian. Pam has been a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the Institute for Functional Medicine, and The Center for Mindful Eating. She is currently completing her certification requirements for Functional Diagnostic Nutrition.
Pam has worked with a variety of clients in a non-profit community clinic outside of Seattle, WA. She has also coached a number of people in the greater Austin area in a health food store setting. Along with being a part of the PreviMedica team, Pam currently works as a practitioner at an integrative pharmacy and has a nutrition consulting business in Boulder, CO.
Aside from spending quality time with her beautiful daughter, Pam enjoys hiking in the Colorado Rockies. She also has a regular yoga practice and plays bass guitar whenever she gets a chance.
Nicole's interest in nutrition and wellness started as a teenager, where she explored alternative options and cleaner ways of living. This interest led her to earn her Nutrition degree from Colorado State University in 2000. Nicole attended University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ for her dietetic internship, graduating in 2001. Nicole is an Integrative Nutrition expert, specializing in digestive disorders and endocrine disorders.
Nicole offers a unique approach, which stresses the importance of the relationship between practitioner and patient, focusing on the whole person and scientific evidence to support therapeutic approaches to healing the body and correcting imbalances.
Specializing in digestive and endocrine imbalances, Nicole also has a great deal of experience with a variety of other conditions, such as disordered eating, weight management, detoxification, behavioral conditions, and blood sugar management.
Nicole’s core philosophy is to meet patients where they are and focus on small attainable goals that, when achieved, will make a positive impact on the mind, body and spirit and encourage patients to move forward toward their ultimate goal of optimal health.
Nicole has a passion for helping others get to the root of their imbalance and achieve optimal health.
Kristen Robinson has enjoyed sports and being physically active since she was young. Her interest in nutrition began in college when she started running for exercise. She became interested in how the food we eat affects our physical performance and can help our bodies’ function. After taking an introduction to nutrition course, she knew she had found her passion. She began cooking healthy recipes and paying closer attention to what she ate.
Kristen is a registered dietitian who received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri- Columbia. Over the years she has worked in a variety of healthcare settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, and pediatrics. Kristen is driven by her desire to help others in need and finds this to be the most rewarding part of her job. She displays compassion in her nutrition counseling and believes an individualized approach to nutrition is the key to success. Kristen has always enjoyed using technology in anyway she can and believes online counseling will be the future of healthcare. She strives to provide clients with the knowledge and skills they need to begin living a healthier and happier life.
Kristen lives in St. Louis, Missouri. She enjoys cooking, running, and playing with her two dogs. She also is the co-creator of a nutrition blog and enjoys creating her own healthy recipes.
